Cytologist will also be present in the operating room to provide onsite adequacy of FNA s, EBUS, and EUS procedures when needed.
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs instruments and lab equipment if possible.
Verifies orders from scripts and orders procedures in HIS and LIS.
Assists in clerical duties as needed.
Assists in the training of new employees and students.
Segregates laboratory wastes according to established policies.
Works on special projects as requested by Director.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology or equivalent Graduate from an approved School of Medical Technology C T certification from ASCP Six years working experience preferred RWJBarnabas Health is the most comprehensive health care delivery system in New Jersey and the state's second largest private employer - with more than 32,000 employees, 9,000 physicians and 1,000 residents and interns.
