Job Description:
Detailed Job Description (including skills/education/experience/duties):
Under the supervision of the COVID Community Corps' (CCC) Program Outreach Manager and designated Outreach Coordinators, County Outreach Workers (total 15) serve as representatives of the NJ Department of Health and are responsible for COVID-19 vaccine outreach, registration, and health system navigation.
Their oversight spans from vaccination event management and logistics, outreach canvassing, county-level data collection, and spearheading volunteer recruitment.
County outreach workers lead local campaigns to address COVID-19 education, registration, and increasing vaccination rates in areas of high-priority.
County Outreach Workers:
Supports priority vaccination sites (i.
e.
, promotional canvassing, social media marketing, volunteer supervision, and troubleshooting) Provides up-to-date education to COVID-19 resources (e.
g.
, vaccine literature, vaccination site flyers, and mitigation strategies) per NJ Department of Health and CDC guidelines.
Coordinates and manages weekly CCC tabling, registration, and volunteer recruitment campaigns.
Maintains valid and accurate on-the-field data collection (i.
e.
, qualitative and quantitative) Provides weekly outreach reports (i.
e.
, number of individuals educated, registered, and scheduled) using assigned data system.
Identifies and helps to reduce cultural and structural barriers to vaccination.
Drives a positive volunteer experience and establishes opportunities for improvement.
Identifies key partners and locations to engage in advancing the CCC mission and goal.
Assist with translation and editing of outreach material.
All outreach workers will require additional training under the DOH's COVID Community Corps.
Ensures equipment, personnel, and transportation logistics (i.
e.
, material pick-up, tables, volunteer support, etc.
) are secured in advance of an assignment.
Provides operational run-down of on-site duties and responsibilities to support team.
Work hours:
Work Hours -Flexible.
Requires evening and weekend hours.
Requires weekly material pick-up trips to Trenton.
