Responsibilities:
Design plastics and injection-mold fabrication processes.
Develop and enhance injection mold machinery.
Research and innovate new manufacturing processes.
Analyze manufacturing data for continuous improvement.
Ensure quality output of molded components.
Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Establish optimal molding parameters and components.
Conduct comprehensive quality control analysis.
Collaborate with team members and vendors for project success.
Perform moldflow analysis and stress/fatigue analysis on plastics.
Create 3D solid mold designs and mold-filling simulations.
Design hot/cold runner molds and water diagrams.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
B.
Sc.
in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience Required:
Hands-on experience in plastics manufacturing (extrusion, injection, compression, hot embossing).
Proficiency in polymer material properties, plastic molding, and heat transfer concepts.
Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven problem-solving ability and adherence to manufacturing best practices.
Knowledge of CAD software for modeling complex parts is preferred.
Self-directed with a proactive approach to opportunities.
