At VALIC, a key focus is assisting our group clients improve in-force management results. The Retirement Plan Consultant role is designed to facilitate plan sponsor and participant service delivery and will be assigned to group clients.
The performance categories for the Retirement
Plan Consultant functions include:
Plan level metrics (enrollments, deferral growth and auto-enroll)
Group Education (seminars, webinars, in person meetings)
Group Reviews (voice of the participant, attendance, accuracy)
Communication and education plan (development and maintenance)

Responsibilities:
Assess and group level needs and develop appropriate plans to meet or exceed client expectations.
Conduct group presentations, in person or via webinars, to enhance awareness of plan features and to grow plan assets, including: enrollment meetings, age-based financial education meetings and basic and advanced financial literacy meetings as requested by the plan sponsor or determined by the education plan.
Actively participate in assigned groups' benefit fairs and new employee orientations.
Participate in the annual plan review and group's financial education planning processes.
Assist Relationship Manager and/or Account Manager with developing group-wide, departmental and targeted education campaigns for plan sponsor to increase participation and deferral rates.
Meet with participants and eligible employees to educate employees and guide decision making to increase enrollment, participation, transfers and contributions to employer sponsored and voluntary plans.
Identify and forward qualified financial planning, rollover and retirement distribution leads to VALIC financial advisors for appropriate individualized wealth financial management services.
Travel will be required to new plan enrollments as needed. Must be able to travel 50% or more during peak times.

3 - 5 years prior retirement plan experience

years relationship management experience preferred
NASD Series 6 and 63 required or NASD Series 7 (required for new advisors who do not hold any securities licenses prior to joining VALIC
Series 65 or 66
State Variable, Life and Health License
CFP, ChFC or similar designations desirable
Must have excellent presentation skills
